Session Overview

MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment) is one of the pathway under MACRA QPP which streamlines multiple quality reporting programs and provides payment adjustments to eligible clinicians based on their performance. Under MIPS, your payment adjustments will be determined by your Composite Performance Score. And these scores would be made publically available in the Physician Compare website. In this webinar, we will understand how the composite score is calculated and tips for maximizing your score in each of the Performance Categories.

In this session we will cover Advanced APMs. Advanced APMs is alternate pathway to MIPs and rewards high performing providers for participating in risk-bearing arrangements with CMS and other payers. Arnaz has been associated with iPatientCare for more than 17 years. One of her most significant contribution has been the robust Enterprise Quality Reporting Engine and the Meaningful Use Dashboard which churns out the Clinical Quality Measures for MU, PQRS, PCMH and other quality reporting and incentive initiatives, which is now expanded to include the MIPS reporting.

Benjamin Chin is a graduate of Rutgers University is currently a policy analyst specializing in health care policy working for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. Prior to joining CMS, Ben worked at the Thailand Institute of Justice in Bangkok, Thailand as a Henry Luce Scholar where he conducted research on alternatives to incarceration for drug involved offenders throughout the ASEAN region. Ben has also worked for Abt Associates and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration prior to working for CMS.
