NUCON 2015 Highlights
Sixth year on the series, iPatientCare’s National User Conference was a jam-packed house by Physicians, nurses, Practice managers, billers, office managers and other practice staff from all over the country to learn about the latest developments with iPatientCare’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management System (PMS), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), PQRS Registry, iPatientCare R2016, and the mobile point of care solutions (mHealth). This year, the special attraction of conference was the informative session from Ashley Spence, Health Insurance Specialist in the Division of Electronic and Clinician Quality, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), on 2015 PQRS Reporting Overview. Ms. Spence elaborated on selecting PQRS measures, reporting to PQRS registries, and how CMS can help in achieving triple aims of better health, better care, and reduced costs. All iPatientCare users and exhibitors/sponsors attended this session and had very lively interaction with the speaker.
The conference kicked off with a Keynote delivered by Udayan Mandavia, President and CEO of iPatientCare. He started off the session by highlighting NUCON 2015 as an event and throwing some light on current trending and future government healthcare IT initiatives, including Meaningful Use Revised Rules, Post ICD-10 changes and the challenges faced by healthcare providers. Not only had this in the keynote session Udayan focused on the theme of “Reinventing Organizations”. Both, Udayan and Kedar Mehta, CTO of iPatientCare introduced about the iPatientCare R2016 and how it will be taken care to make work of practices easy. During the keynote he also shared his vision to bring together the iPatientCare channel partners, end users, certified professionals, business partners of iPatientCare for attending educational sessions, attend the exhibition and have some fun together as group.
Interactive Breakout Sessions
The separate breakout sessions were designed to target three unique audiences – physicians, other clinical support staff, and office managers. The numerous sessions accommodated sessions on Electronic Health Record, Practice Management System, Patient Portal, mHealth, Revenue Cycle Management, Privacy and Security of Data – Attendees at the National User Conference found valuable information and suggestions for using iPatientCare more effectively in their practices.
iPatientCare EHR and PMS has set a scale by meeting the ongoing requirements of the US healthcare reforms. The system has witnessed remarkable deviations and the enhanced instinctive solutions had made it easier for the providers to measure and act on their clinical and business outcomes. The educational sessions were designed, keeping in mind the evolving healthcare curve. The attendees were addressed by presentations highlighting the evolution of iPatientCare EHR, PMS and RCM services and how it can help the providers prepare for the new era of healthcare, including Meaningful Use Revised Rules. This educated the attendees with strategies to tackle critical health reform initiatives. The Session from Ashley Spence, Health Insurance Specialist in the Division of Electronic and Clinician Quality, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) was very informative.
There were highest number of exhibitors/sponsors at this event than any similar events before and like every year this year too attendees had an opportunity to meet wide range of Exhibitors whose products and services provide valuable addendums to iPatientCare system to make it a unique technology platform instead of an ordinary software product! Numerous iPatientCare partners who exhibited here represented Clearing Houses, Computers & Networking Service Providers, Medical Devices Manufacturers, and Decision Support Content Providers.
Though this year NUCON was a Virtual Conference, the entertainment committee worked hard towards planning a fun event as we want our users and channel partners to kick-off the holiday season over Wine, Cheese, and Chocolates as we would be only couple of weeks away from the Thanksgiving. All the attendees were presented with an adventure party special gift pack keeping in mind the chills and thrills of the forthcoming festivals. Hence all the attendees were able to enjoy and welcome the festive season along with the entire office staff.
Not only had these Attendees also enjoyed participating in iPatientCare Jeopardy and Lucky Draw, giving away free cruise trip to Bahamas conducted by the Entertainment Committee at iPatientCare.
And the Good News is iPatientCare’s Virtual Portal will be accessible to all the users throughout the year for sharing ideas, learning and collaborating with industry veterans and get in touch with the exhibitors available at the booths.
